When We Are Closed

If you need to see a Doctor urgently when the surgery is closed please phone 111. You will be put through to Derbyshire Health United who provides the ‘out-of-hours’ service on behalf of Derbyshire County CCG. They will pass a message to the Doctor on duty who may phone you to assess your problem. You might be asked to attend the out-of-hours clinic at Ashgate Manor, or receive a home visit.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Once a month the Practice is closed for an afternoon of training, this is called a QUEST session. These are important opportunities for staff training and fully supported by the CCG. Training is for all staff members and covers clincial and non clinical topics. On a QUEST day all the practice buildings will close at 1300 and the telephones will be switched over to the out of hours provider Derbyshire Health United.

QUEST dates:

November 14th

December 12th
