I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2010, with the University of Lincoln. My first qualified Staff Nurse post was on a busy Intensive Care Unit.
I then moved in Community Nursing in 2011, gaining the post of District Nursing Sister in 2015 following the successful completion of PGDip Community Specialist Practitioner and Nurse Prescriber.
I decided to move into Primary Care for a new challenge in 2016 after I completed my Master’s degree, and have been with Royal Primary Care Clay Cross since. During this time I have had the opportunity to complete the Independent Nurse Prescribing Qualification and Advanced Physical Assessment and Consultation Skills modules, which have enhanced me clinically. I am currently the Palliative Care Lead for the surgery; this is an area I feel very passionately about.
My interests include pain management, chronic diseases, acute medicine and palliative care. I do not currently see children under the age of 12.
